Made the required changes to /usr/share/perl5/PVE/Tools.pm and also to /usr/share/pve-manager/ext4/pvemanagerlib.orig.js and then, /etc/init.d/pvedaemon start ...but still receiving the error. Really want to avoid rebooting the system, and just need backups to run again. Running vzdump...

Update: Turns out that sfcbd is installed with Dell Open Manage. I admit to installing that :) Process disabled without issue.

Thanks for your reply. I'm certain I did not install sfcbd. sfcbd seems to be some daemon for embedded systems... If not part of proxmox I guess it's safe to disable it?

We have two Proxmox v3.1-21 systems with 200 days uptime where /usr/sbin/sfcbd is now consuming 30GB RAM on both nodes. Is it safe to restart (or kill) this process? What does it do?

Thanks all for your replies. We bypassed NFS and created a raw disk for the asterisk guest on top of LVM. It appears to have solved the issue. I/O wait is now averaging below 5%.

There was only one CPU core assigned to the guest OS. I added another core yesterday and that dropped the load average below 1. So that helped a lot... However, the guest OS I/O wait % remains high, frequently above 20%.

NFS server. There's another guest that runs Asterisk and an NFS client. The Asterisk guest writes about 2Mbit/s worth of recordings to the NFS server through its NFS mount.
