Hi there!

I used proxmox ve 1.x in the past and I wanted to try 2.x at home. I've found problems with web console and I've followed http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Vnc_2.0 to get VNC console working.

This works, but my question is, are the problems with web console a bug or a feature? I mean, this will be fixed or it will work like this beacause of the TLS requirement?

thx.

the web console on 2.0 should works out of the box. no need for any external VNC client. personally I never had any issues.

mmm, starnge. I've seen many posts with problems with web console.

I can't run it under firefox (ubuntu) and somebody in the forums suggested chromium, that opens the web console but hangs the browser.

Also, why the wiki page about the VNC viewer if it "has" to work fine?

thx..

if you run on Ubuntu, make sure you install sun-java6-plugin and remove the free java packages.

Well, that was it, so simple... I could'nt find it in the forum...

Anyway, could this simple solution be included in the wiki page about VNC?

Thank you so much!

feel free to add content to the wiki, everybody can contribute there.
