Hi there PVE verterans, I found some tutorial on youtube here on how to install open vm tools on PVE(Debian) host.
Is this still necessary since we already have QEMU Guest Agent and spice agent?
Does open-vm-tools package provide some useful functionalities especially for PVE?

Thank you all for reading.

from the youtube video said:
- Low video resolution
- Inadequate color depth
- Incorrect display of network speed
- Restricted movement of the mouse
- Inability to copy and paste and drag-and-drop files
- Missing sound
- Provides the ability to take quiesced snapshots of the guest OS
- Synchronizes the time in the guest operating system with the time on the host

Hi, as you mentioned, a lot of this should be solved with SPICE & Qemu Guest Agent.
