I set my VM to use 310 GB, but the system reports only 152 GB total.
Any idea why this might happen?
My local-lvm has a total of 350 GB's free

hi,

if you used the default settings on the installer, a thin lvm is set up as local-lvm. this uses thin-provisioning so the disk size on the filesystem is allocated dynamically according to the internal disk usage of the VM.

Yes, this is what happened.
There's no way to change the allocation?

thin provisioning is meant for saving disk space. if the VM does not use all the space then it won't occupy all the space on the host.

if you don't like thin provisioning then you can use a different storage type. see here [0]
