Upgrading Proxmox 2 -> 3

I was wondering if anyone has upgraded from Proxmox 2 -> 3 lately. Knowing that it was based on Squeeze and it's been a while, will the script still work?

Is it possible to simply backup Proxmox 2 VMs and restore them in the current Proxmox version?

I did not test the script a long time but backup/restore from 2.x to 4.2 should just work.
