Hello everybody
I just upgraded my pve server from version 7 (lastest release) to 8.3 and after the reboot it stayed with blinking cursor for some minutes, then it gave an "timed out for waiting the udev queue being empty" message on screen, then it booted, but was very laggy and with other errors and then after trying to login it rebooted. The first solution I found was to boot with 5.15.158-2-pve kernel and in that way it works without a problem.
What could I do to solve the problems with 6.8 kernel?
Thank you

Hi alefello!

It seems like the issue is caused by the thin_check command used by LVM as mentioned here [0]. The solution seems to be either skipping the check of the block mappings in the lvm.conf, by setting the configuration option thin_check_options = [ "-q", "--skip-mappings" ] in the global section (see thin_check(8) for more information) as mentioned at [0] or increasing the event_timeout in /etc/udev/udev.conf and running update-initramfs -u as mentioned at [1].

Does one of those solutions fix your problem?
