Unable to overcommit Ram.

Hello,

I have set up the VPS on a server, in fact, 7 VPS, with 2GB ram attached to each and minimum allotted 500mb.

But after booting, each VPS is using 1gb, so that's about 7GB ram total, however, the server is using 17.15GB/32gb ram.

and according to htop each VPS is using 6.5% of RAM. (6.5% of 32gb is 2GB). All are KVM VPS.

I am unable to overcommit, have i missed any setting?

Same thing on virtualizor i can put 20 VPS of 2gb ram on a 32gb Server without any problem, and at times there is 1-2gb Ram pending.

What do you mean "unable to"? As in, you've tried to create >16 VMs, and then you got an Out of Memory?

In those examples, you're not trying to exert memory pressure, so of course it will allocate everything you've asked for.
