Two node to single node, pvecm expected 1 don't work!

Following the guides to remove a node from a cluster, i shutdown and deleted the node that was to be shutdown as per the instructions in the wiki (following the WARNING) that it should NOT ever go online again because that would mess upp the cluster.

Now i can't write to /etc/pve at all and if i do pvecm expected 1 i still can't start cman (timeout) and i can't remove the second node.

What to do now?

/init.d/pve-cluster restart was required before the system was writable again.

So i could remove the second node.

But i can't make and changes in the admin!

unable to open file '/etc/pve/vzdump.cron.tmp.484482' - Device or resource busy (500)

I had to change the single node into local mode.
