I just built a raidz pool using a recycled desktop. I have 5 500gb disks, totaling a 2tb pool. And share it as smb.
I like this size and works fine.
I want to add a directory to this share, name Downloads.
And I want to add a torrent client that will use this directory as the downloads directory, for downloading and uploading.
I'm using a proxmox server with only a TrueNAS Scale VM with hd passthrough.
Is it possible to do this via the Proxmox side? Is it viable?

Thank you all in advance.

If you already have a TrueNAS VM, why would you want to do it through Proxmox. Is it possible: yes, is it recommended: no. If you want something closer to bare metal, get a container, install Samba, figure out how to share a directory, set permissions, realize how easy TrueNAS is and you could’ve hosed your Proxmox setup doing this.

I tried a few months agora to do this same thing from proxmox side, but I was'nt able to share the folder on samba, the qbitttorrent app would stop.
I'm seeing to the truenas side solution parallel to this.
If I added a new drive to the proxmox and created the Downloads folder there, could this be a solution via the proxmox side?
