Hello everybody,

I'm facing this curious problem and have any idea how to solve it.

I had since months, a cluster of 5 PVE 1.8 working nice. I did the 1.9 update without issue.

Now, I want to add a 6th physical server. It's is on a DMZ but I'm sure ( checked, checked and checked ) that all TCP and UDP ports are open between the physical server in the DMZ and the others in the LAN.

I ran the pveca -a -h 172.20.17.1 command and received an acknowledge that the node was added in the cluster.

Meanwhile, all I have with the pveca -l command is :

proxmox-01:/var/run# pveca -l
CID----IPADDRESS----ROLE-STATE--------UPTIME---LOAD----MEM---DISK
1 : 172.20.17.1 M S 02:51 0.01 10% 2%

3 : 172.20.17.3 N S 15 days 06:27 0.02 3% 4%
4 : 172.20.17.4 N S 4 days 23:28 0.06 43% 9%
5 : 172.20.17.5 N S 4 days 23:28 0.00 33% 9%

When I run pveca -l on the 6th server :

root@proxmox-dmz-10:~# pveca -l
CID----IPADDRESS----ROLE-STATE--------UPTIME---LOAD----MEM---DISK
1 : 172.20.17.1 M ERROR: Ticket authentication failed - invalid ticket 'root::root::1323128415::cf718a93bf12770a42a2f1d32e24e54e5ed692aa'

6 : 192.168.5.10 N S 4 days 02:34 0.00 4% 11%

I tried to delete the cluster and build it again and to reboot the master as well. Same result.

What can I do ? How the firewall, fully openned for these server between DMZ and LAN, can impact the cluster ?

Thank for your help.

Michel.
