I had an existing installation of Debian amd64 that i installed proxmox as per instruction found:

i have noticed that Debian adds an entry on

/etc/hosts

similar to:

127.0.1.1 debianpc.yourlan debianpc

this is done to support some Gnome bug (i think)

but it creates problems when installing proxmox.

maybe adding a Note on the instruction would save some trouble.

feel free to add a hint but installation on a Debian with Gnome is not recommended anyways (and not in the howto).
