Hi,

I've looked in the admin manual, but I may be missing something.

If a user uses the delete or deliver buttons in the Spam Quarantine manager, does this help re-train the Bayes filters, or does it just deliver and delete?

Also, is there an undelete anywhere? I've had some accidental deletions already, and the concern is that it may retrain with sa-learn or something under the hood.

Thanks!

james

No the Bayes filter is independent of the quarantine

No - the delete action in the spam-quarantine is final

I hope this helps!

PMG uses SpamAssassin's autolearning.
In my experience Bayes did not help too much in most setups - so our general recommendation is to disable it - usually a good set of DNSBLs and updated SA rules (they get updated automatically in PMG) should give pretty good results - see:

for a thread where a few suggestions regarding Bayes training are made.
