Hi,

I'm new to proxmox.

I installed the default regular way. When I logged in to the web gui I see local and local-lvm under the pve node.

When I click the "initialize Disk with GPT" option it works for all disk except for the Samsung 970 Evo nvme SSD which fails with exit code 2.

I checked this disk with fdisk and it doesn't show any partitions so this disk is empty/uninitialized and initialization by proxmox should work.

Any idea?

Thank you,

Hi,

generally, the 970 Evo should work because we have it here and no problems are known.
Do you have an error output?

I know that many Bios updates are related to improve compatibly wit M2 disks.
I would check if your MB has a Bios update.
