Single Server Home Use - License worth it?

I want to provision my 6TB drive to be accessible to all VMs on my Proxmox node, but I also want to use a file system that will allow me to add another drive and pool the two together when the time comes. This way I'll be able to have all my data (besides system files) stored on one file system, and when I creep towards capacity I can just add another 6tb. Is this possible? Thanks in advance :)

LVM does support expanding an LVM over multiple disks (a bit like RAID0), however, if one disk fails you lose all the data not just 50%, as your be running VM disks onto of the LVM you're almost guaranteed a total data loss.

Is the 6TB drive the only drive you have in the system or will you also have separate OS/Boot drives?

This is what I have on the laptop that I'm using as a VM.

12 x Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz (1 Socket)

I'm not sure if I need 1 license or 12. If its 12 it's a no go. If it per socket than the community license is more reasonable.

So your be running Proxmox on a laptop? But anyway the license is per a socket your CPU is only one socket so you only require 1 license.

Also just noticed your not the OP, you should be opening a separate topic or contacting the sales with your question and not jumping onto someone else topic :)
