ok, like the subj. says should I use the openVZ templates for my VMs/
I have seen roomers that proxmox will drop the support for openvz containers in favor of lxc.
however in the template list there is only a handful of lxc templates available and lots of openvz.

I want to load owncloud VM and a couple of others at the moment.
but not sure if I should use the openvz template or just build out a VM from scratch.

can someone advise please.

The OpenVZ templates should work without problems.

I am sure it will work. but as proxmox is moving to lxc wouldn't it be better to just build out a VM fro mscratch as an lxc or real VM so when/if the support is removed there will be no need for conversion etc.
