Just some observations I have made during the last couple of days...
The Infrastructure consists of seven physical and >200 virtual servers.
Total amount of backup space used (before): ~5tb
Full Backup Time run required: ~12h (why I did only partial fullbackups during the week)
I have switched to PBS a week ago.... and have 15 Versions I keep now.
- Initial Backup takes about the same amount of time (but 40% less space)
- Backup Time (for full-backup): 1.5h
- Space required: about the same (+500g) (with 10+ versions)
Restore Times are about the same...
So... all in all: Really, really cool (thanks!)
