Shall I wait for v5 or setup my new cluster on 4.4 ?

Hi!

Ich bekomme die tage 4 neue Server all NVMe ...
v5 beta2 aufsetzen oder v4.4 ?

It is unclear if this is a production configuration or a test lab, but I'd never ever ever configure a HA setup on a beta release. HA is tricky on well tested releases, so I can't imagine the little hiccups you'd encounter with a beta release.

Maybe you won't encounter any issues at all on a beta release, but that is a risk that I will not take.
 
My 1st thought was ceph on v5 most recent versus v4.4...
If a smooth migration from v4.4 to upcoming v5 in a production environment is possible... I set the cluster up with v4.4

If not... Question over questions....

Footnote for what it is worth. HA is not actually hard to setup since 4.x (approx). It used to be "more drama" on 3.X and earlier but it is so easy now with the current releases - it is quite silly. Well, not silly, nice actually. :)
