Just got Proxmox ve v3.3 setup nicely on a Dell 2950 iii server. I currently have the Dell perc 6i raid controller installed which is currently serving a simple raid 1 for the main storage and backup drives. I also have a Samsung 850 SSD installed on the 6i but am I reaching the limit of controller (about 190MBs each way).
Is there a simple and well supported Sata3 PCI card that is recommended? I don't need any Raid etc as it will be only hosting the single Samsung SSD.
I am also looking at installing a USB 3 card for backup in the future. Is there any well support cards also?
