Hi All
Not sure if anyone has experienced this issue before.
We have an older host for pre production VM staging before moving them to newer hosts.
Old host PVE 6.1.7
New Host PVE 6.4
The Process.
Take final backup of VM using VZdump
Restore VM on new Cluster.
Original VM Hardware
VirtIO- Scsi
SEA Bios
i440 fx
HDD1 - iscsi0
HDD1 - iscsi01
network device = VirtIO
CPU - Dual Socket
CPU Emulation = KVM 64
After migration to new host we need to change:
CPU sockets = 1
CPU Emulation = host
on boot the VM fails to boot.
the only way to boot the VM is to change the SCSI controller to LSI.
this will then allow the VM to boot.
any ideas on how we can get the original VM config back to VirtIO SCSI and to boot?
thanks in advance.
Gerardo
