Hi all, a simple question, only for security:

A cluster with 4 nodes (proxmox1, proxmox2, proxmox3, proxmox4).
I need to remove proxmox3, change same bad hardware in the node (local storage), than readd to cluster.

1) Poweroff proxmox3 (vm migration to others nodes)
2) Remove proxmox3 from blade-slot (physically, for security)
3) Remove node proxmox3 from cluster "pvecm delnode proxmox3"
4) Fresh install PX on the proxmox3 with new local storage, reconfigure it
5) Add proxmox3 to the cluster "pvecm add xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"

The question: can I use the same old hostname "proxmox3" for the "new" node ?
The readd with the same hostname required "pvecm add xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -force" ?

Very thanks

Luca

Hi,

if you are on PVE 4.4 you can use the same name.
