Recommended disk setup with an PowerEdge R620

Hi,

I have an PowerEdge R620 today with:

1. H710 Mini controller installed.
2. 120GB SSD for OS
3. PCI-E card with single nvme disk
4. 2x8 core CPU
5. 192GB ram

So I have been planning to do something about this. Was thinking of installing 6x10K 1.2 tb disk to the hardware raid but the thought of even buying mechanical disk these days makes me feel bad.

And there is also ZFS witch I have been reading about but never used. I have read some people convert the R620 to passthrough disk and use software raid instead of hardware raid. What do you recommend?
