I've got a new SuperMicro X10SDV-F Xeon D based system. It's got the newer firmware features you'd want like ACS support.

I'm trying to passthrough a Radeon 7750 card to Windows 10 which actually I can do, it works fine until I load the graphics drivers. The screen just switches off and I'm left with nothing. This was with seabios as the card doesn't have a UEFI firmware. It's fine on the basic VGA driver in Windows until this point including rebooting.

I tried Windows 7 as a test and it's exactly the same.

Next I actually found a way to edit the firmware to inject an UEFI BIOS onto the card (With Legacy intact). I've done this and can now pass the card through fine with UEFI on Proxmox as well. However it's the same as with seabios, when the graphics AMD card driver loads the screen goes black.

I tried removing x-vga to use the card as a secondary display to see if I could see what was going on. This gives me a BSOD when the drivers load of "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"

Finally I've loaded up ESXi 6 to try this and the card works fine even with the same AMD drivers loaded. So it seems the issue is KVM / Kernel related but I cannot work it out. If rather not run ESXi if I had the choice.

Anyond have any ideas as I've spent a few days on this now?
