On previous versions of proxmox the advice was not to use unicast in a cluster with more than 4 nodes:

===
Due to increased network traffic (compared to multicast) the number of supported nodes is limited, do not use it with more that 4 cluster nodes.

Now in proxmox 6 I read that multicast is not supported and we should use unicast instead. This pretty much conflicts with the (older) advice not to use unicast in a cluster with more than 4 nodes.

So, where to go if we use i.e. 12 nodes in a cluster? Any advice before upgrading?

Hi,

corosync2 and corosync3 are completely different so this is why the advice is changing.
It is not because we change our meaning about it.

Yes, the supported limits are the same.

Sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by "supported limits" ? Maximum of 4 cluster nodes?
