Quantum Superloader 3 (SCSI LVD320) - no labeling, tape format err.

Hello,

I have a Problem with a Quantum Superloader 3 (SCSCI LVD 320).
I cant write a Label on the Tape.:


If i format the Tape:

On the Tape(s) no write protection aktiv.


The Autoloader:


Configuration Files:
media-pool.cfg
pool: Superloader_pool_01 allocation mon..fri retention overwrite

tape.cfg
changer: Superloader3_01 path /dev/tape/by-id/scsi-CG7JQS0352 lto: SL_01 changer Superloader3_01 path /dev/tape/by-id/scsi-QD0632AMC00144-sg

Supported Hardware​

Proxmox Backup Server supports Linear Tape-Open generation 5 (LTO-5) or later and has best-effort support for generation 4 (LTO-4). While many LTO-4 systems are known to work, some might need firmware updates or do not implement necessary features to work with Proxmox Backup Server.

can you try with a new and empty tape too ?

alternatively, can you try to manually erase/format the drive:

pmt erase --fast
pmt format --fast

(make sure you use the --fast option, otherwise it will overwrite the whole tape)
