Hi,
I'm have a cluster with 2 nodes.
The cluster was created for live migration of vms from an old server (master node) to a new server (slave node).

Now i want to stop the old server and use the new one for my cluster management, ie as the master node.
I've tryed "pveca -m" on the slave node to force it to become the master. The command says OK, but nothing seems to happen.

The management ui is still unavailable on the "new" master node.
Should i stop first the old server then issue "pveca -m" on the slave node ?

I can not as it thinks it is still the master.
And if i remove the new machine from the cluster, i fear it will delete all config/vm files on the new machine.

I thought pveca -m would switch the master node, activate the web ui on the new master and deactivate the webui on the old.
But ... no.

If i remove the slave (ie new) machine from the cluster, will it delete all config/vm files on this new machine ?

Do you think the ProxMox guys are so evil? ;)

You can safely remove the cluster relationship from either machine without touching any vm. I did it quite often until i understood clustering.
