my 3.x cluster has since long had no problems, but last night I had two VM failing backup. I retried manually the first today, and it completed, but the other still fails.
When the night job (snapshot mode) failed for 2 VM (both windows server VM, all disks over iSCSI):
- the first (vmid 205) failed with
205: May 12 02:07:01 INFO: status: 67% (58248396800/85899345920), sparse 34% (29847646208), duration 2105, 4/0 MB/s
205: May 12 02:07:01 ERROR: backup_complete_cb -5
205: May 12 02:07:01 INFO: aborting backup job
205: May 12 02:08:27 ERROR: Backup of VM 205 failed - backup_complete_cb -5
- the second (vmid 206) with
206: May 12 03:20:43 ERROR: vma_writer_close: incomplete stream 'drive-virtio2' (68717707264 != 68719476736)
206: May 12 03:20:43 INFO: aborting backup job
206: May 12 03:20:45 ERROR: Backup of VM 206 failed - vma_writer_close: incomplete stream 'drive-virtio2' (68717707264 != 68719476736)
after those errors, the job completed successfully other 7 vm backup, with no apparent issues.
backup storage has plenty of space, this is not the cause.
Noticing the errors, today I retried manually (from the web gui) to backup vmid 205, and it worked, completed without errors.
then I retried manually (from the web gui) to backup vmid 206, but it keeps failing, now always with
INFO: status: 42% (10896801792/25786580992), sparse 3% (856358912), duration 629, 2/1 MB/s
ERROR: backup_complete_cb -5
INFO: aborting backup job
ERROR: Backup of VM 207 failed - backup_complete_cb -5
INFO: Backup job finished with errors
I guess qemu-img check can't help me in this case (iscsi disks), so what can I do to make this VM backup complete? what/where to check?
