Can you please confirm this: Second-level quotas in an OpenVZ container (using QUOTAUGIDLIMIT) are not working at all if the underlying filesystem is ZFS?
We are running Proxmox VE 3.4 with ZFS on Linux 0.6.4.1 and using 100% OpenVZ CTs, no KVM VMs. We desperately need second level quotas in several CTs. We need to be able to show/edit quota per user/group inside a CT, possibly with the default quota tools (quota, edquota).
Is there a known workaround for this?
As far as I understood the ZoL devs, ZFS quota support is still in the works and will not make it into ZFS on Linux in the near future:
Running ext4 on top of a virtual ZFS filesystem is no adequate solution, in my eyes. Any plans or other workarounds for this problem?

- zfsonlinux issue #3500: dnode accounting for quotas
- zfsonlinux issue #2577: Add support for user/group dnode accounting & quota
