I have Asus mainboard- Intel Z270 chipset, 6x sata ports ( that I would like to use for hdds) and 2x nvme m2 slots. I can get couple cheap nvme drives but when I put them in 2 m2 slots it will disable some sata ports. Is it possible to install Proxmox on nvme drives connected to mainboard by nvme to pcie adapter ( as RAIDZ1) ? Is it going to detect them and boot from them if they will be selected and configured in bios?

Has nothing to do with proxmox, its wheter your bios supports booting nvme drives from pcie adapters.

If it doesnt work you can always use another bootloader like clover to boot chain from pcie adapters.
