Hi There,

I am new to the promox world, and I have a question.

At the moment I have a spare machine, it has a 500gb primary drive and 3tb Secondary Drive. Installing proxmox I do not have any problems with, it is more to the fact that at present the 3TB drive holds all my photos, music & general day to day digital content.

So my question is can I install proxmox on my primary HDD, and then get virtual machines I create to reference to and use the 3tb drive that as my personal files, as I do not want to use this drive for the virtual machine files themselves just as a shared storage resource, but in the same machine. Hopefully this makes sense.

I have trawled the internet, and cannot seem to find what I am looking for.

Kind Regards
