Hello,

I am trying to install Proxmox 5.2 on a server with LSI 9341-4i and a LSI HBA. Two Disks for my OS are configured as Raid 1 on the 9341.

On the HD-selection menu during install the installer shows all of the HBA-Disks but none connected to the 9341. (I've checked a Ubuntu install and the controller / raid is recognised)

What I am doing wrong?

Is there a way to inject a dreiver during install. Does anyone has experience with proxmox and 9341?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

please check if your firmware is updated to the latest available version.
Proxmox VE 5.2 iso works on an LSI 3108 Chip without a problem in UEFI and Bios mode.
Tested on a MegaRaid 6361-4i what is nearly the same card.
If this does not work, you can install PVE on a Debian 9

@ewuewu , did you solve this?
I'm to having problem with with a LSI MegaRaid 9341-4i configured as RAID1.
Latest FW on controller. Gives the following

EDIT:
With LSI/AVAGO MegaRAID 9341-4i UEFI doesn't work. Only Legacy boot mode works.

HW-spec:
Supermicro SuperChassis 721TQ-250B
Xeon-D 1541 8-core 2GHz
LSI/AVAGO MegaRAID 9341-4i
2 Samsung 860 EVO as RAID1.

sorry for the bump..

For the future, if someone(myself included) stumble upon this problem. ( I'm not able to edit my previous post).

I have a Supermicro X10SDV-TLN4F motherboard.
If I booted the installationmedia on non uefi, the installation found my raid. But not when booting UEFI.
Error message i got when looking closer was
Init cmd return status FAILED for SCSI Failed from megasas_init_fw 6459

So for me the solution was to enter bios, "Advanced -> PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration", and force the PCI-E slot to only accept EFI.
Then boot on 7.1 iso.
