Hello I have some questions about backing up my host.
Here is my scenario.
drive 1 runs proxmox os.
raidz tank has all vm's and data on it.
I have customized proxmox files on drive 1 a lot after install. Such at setting up pci-passthrough and other things.
So questions are:
1. does the built in proxmox backup tool backup everything on the host drive? or just some of the files.
2. If it does backup the whole disk can I back it up to my tank pool? Can I send the backup
3. If it does not backup the whole disk, is there a way you would recommend that I could do that? Like lvm snapshot or something?
I'm more concerned about protecting my install from botched upgrade or myself if i screw something up. Not worried about backing up the vm's right now as snapshots are good enough for my use case.
