Hi,

i have a problem with proxmox dns resoution...

every user becomes a mail with a daily spam report. In this report the users can look into the quarantined mails by clicking the mail link or the subject...

But this link didn't work. If the browser opened we see an 404 error...
If i changed manually the link http://proxmox.internaldomain.de into the ip-adress, the website can be displayed. The hostname and domain in the proxmox settings are correct.

If i ping the proxmox hostname from my workstation or any servers, its successful. No ping packets are lost.

but the website can't displayed... why?

as workaround i have configured the optional quarantine host...

i don't know why the website can't displayed by useing the hostname...
the ping test is successfull...

the link in the mail have the following format: http://proxmox.internal.domain.de/quar/.....

what can it be?

thnaks for tipps and help...

greetings
jimmy

p.s
all dns records in the local dns servers are correct

either DNS is working or not (make sure that you have the right DNS settings for internal/external access). you described the right way, please check again.

Hi @all,

i'm sorry... please delete this thread.
The problem is done.

the failure was our local dns server / service.
first i thought proxmox were the problem but many user called me, that server a and server b is not available...

so i have restart our dns service and all works great...

i'm sorry...
