Created the install USB on Ubuntu 18.04LTS with DD instructions on: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Prepare_Installation_Media
Booting on:
The interesting bit is I just installed Proxmox and it was totally fine. Booted fine and started working with it. Then I rebooted my server and I got the following message:
I researched this and could not find a solution. So frustrated I was like "I'll just reinstall". Then I went to boot from the exact same USB drive that i had installed with and received the following error:
This message was from booting into "debug mode". Exasperated i tried a new flash drive and DD'd it. So I have tried two separate flash-drives with the exact same result.
The interesting bit is the drive is mounted on all boots with both flash-drives. Please see attached picture. I have gone through a lot of the forums but have not found a solution which work. I have been running FreeNAS for a number of years but was thinking about moving to Proxmox and virtualizing FreeNAS as I would like virtualize and see how that goes; sadly not so well yet.
I am perplexed how the first run Proxmox did everything perfectly and now for some reason its not. I would still very much like to try out Proxmox and see if its something i would like to deploy on a larger scale. Hope there are some ideas.
