I am using Proxmox 3.4 and considering waiting for Proxmox 5 rather than upgrading to Proxmox4.

I have a few questions
1. Will 4 to 5 upgrade be as "involved" as 3 to 4? If everything is being kept the same (no new cluster building, container conversion etc...) then maybe I might as well bite the bullet now.

2. Will you support 3.4 --> 5 upgrades?

3. Considering Debian Stretch will be fully frozen in February what is the approximate timeline for Proxmox 5?

There is currently no version 5 ... But clustering and container technology will not change.

We only test upgrades from last stable.

3. Considering Debian Stretch will be fully frozen in February what is the approximate timeline for Proxmox 5?

That depends on the many factors, but the plan is to provide a beta version soon after that date.
