Hello all. I use a number of other VM products and decided to see what Proxmox was all about.

Just getting things fired up here, but for various reasons I need to emulate a 82371AB (PIIX4) Southbridge.

It would appear, Proxmox or I guess qemu defaults to the 82371SB (PIIX3) Southbridge. (At least that's what keeps showing in my Windows guests)

I've tried specifying different "machine" types in the config file (pc-i440fx-x.x) but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there something else I need to change or is the older PIIX3 chipset the only version provided by Proxmox?

Thanks.

AFAIK, this the PIIX4 is in the 'qemu-system-mips' package and not shipped with our version of qemu.
