Hello forum!

It's been a while

Up for a new challenge with the new version of PVE.

Just out of curious, this behavior happens in another customer we have, altough, this is also happening in a new customer.

It takes like forever (joke, actually around 3, 4 hours), in a physical machine this takes up to 10 seconds.

Is there any explanation for this?

The overall performance in pretty awesome, no complaints whatsoever, it's brilliant.

Just this behavior post-updates intrigues me.

Any comment will be appreciated.

yes, I got this also after applying windows updates on two or three boxes - but no idea yet, it just takes some time and then it was working without problems.

Yes, after a couple ammount of hours it all goes well.

Just be sure to uncheck the automatic updates, it already went pretty bad on me, I emergency rebooted a server some months ago, it applied the updates, downtime for around 3 hours, hehe

Seems like the display is running in graphics mode not text mode. Probably unrelated to your problem. But I have seen the same problems on some physical windows clients when the display driver was not installed. Have you tried to close the console so it don't need to write graphics output to your screen? Did the operation go faster then?

Same behavior, I actually went check it because it was taking ages to boot, so I went check and I saw that.

And I saw that for a more couple of hours hehe.
