Hi I have problem with configuring network devices on Proxmox 2.2 . I have 2 cards, both PCI-E. Intel i350 and Intel PRO/1000 PT server adapter. But Proxmox web configurator doesn't see igb or e1000e, only e1000. I installed igb-4.0.17, pve-kernel-2.6.32-16-pve_2.6.32-82_amd64.deb, pve-headers-2.6.32-16-pve, libpve-common-perl_1.0-39_all.deb.
The system see them:

# PCI device 0x10ec:0x8168 (r8169)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="bc:5f:f4:47:e6:9a", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth0"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x1521 (igb)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="a0:36:9f:0e:03:a9", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth2"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x1521 (igb)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="a0:36:9f:0e:03:a8", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth1"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x100e (e1000)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:07:e9:0b:ee:0b", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth3"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x107d (e1000e)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:1b:21:a8:95:fc", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth4"

mainboard asrock z75 pro3. Realtek and Intel pro/1000 MT (e1000) works normally

igb 4.0.17 is default in proxmox ve 2.2, seems I do not understand your post.

Virtualized network drivers and network cards on the host are something completely different!

this screenshot shows the selection of emulated NIC for KVM guests - this is totally unrelated to the physical nics.

I'm newbie in proxmox and i can't give Intel PRO/1000 PT Server Adapter to KVM guest. With realtek and intel PRO/1000 MT everything is well.

you need to understand the difference between physical nics and virtual nics.

so we talk here about physical nics on the proxmox ve host or about virtual disks for KVM?
