Hiya,

i have a acrinos image of a windows 2003 sbs. The merge raid have not been applied yet. after restore it just bluescreen.
is there a way to apply this to stop it from bosd pls?

The disk are ide and I have tried safe mode but still nothing. The mergeide.reg has not been run before the backup so is there a way to get this to boot even in safe mode or something ?
 
Start the vm and check 'do not reboot after bsod' (at f8 prompt).
See which error code appear, so you can dig if ide can be the problem
 
Hello,

I solved the same problem booting my vm with a hiren's boot ISO and running "fix_HDC" utility in mini XP applications menu. Hope this help.

Or try booting from the w2003 SBS CD image and start a boot repair or complete repair process (sorry, I don't know the exact name of the function). That way you can install the necessary drivers while repairing, too.
 
Unfortunately, I do not have the cds :-( If anyone has the cd for windows sbs 2003 std oem can could help that would be great.

i have contacted dell but they also do not have it :-(

You could also try the following:

- if you have a license, just get the iso from the internet, I guess you don't need hints as from where...
- acronis bootable CDs have a "Universal Restore" function, try restoring with it (AFAIR trial bootable CDs are also good for the purpose)
- if you can make another archive, you could try downloading sysprep for 2003 SBS, apply it before shutdown (using OOBE+Generalize), and create the TIB from a bootable Acronis CD
