PhpMyAdmin & MySQL in an OpenVZ.

It seems this is not directly related to Proxmox but I thought I would share my experiences here too for those who are seeing same kind of problems.
This started to happen after the Proxmox upgrade to 2.3-13.

It seems that there is a something wrong with PhpMyAdmin that causes a some kind of problem with MySQL that results in a system that can't restart in OpenVZ containers. Only hardware level reboot fixes this.

After trying to restart MySQL service the container usually becomes unresponsive and then I try to shutdown the container.

After trying that OpenVZ control panel (Proxmox) shows this Syslog error message again and again...
Quote:
Mar 21 20:40:04 czc63519z7 pvedaemon[159375]: command '/usr/sbin/vzctl exec 110 /bin/cat /proc/net/dev' failed: exit code 8

This has happened on several different MySQL servers now on different hardware.
All Debian Squeeze OpenVZ containers.

Please try to find out why the command does not work. What output do you get with:

# vzctl exec 110 '/bin/cat /proc/net/dev
