Organize storage

Hi,
I have this setup:

3x 960GB SSD SAS 12Gb/s - used for VMs and proxmox
7x 1,2TB SAS 12Gb/s - used for storage for VMs
2x 8TB NLSAS 12Gb/s - used for backup

128GB RAM ECC

I'm going to make software RAID1 for backup and two ZFS (RAID-Z1) pools: first with ssd disks only, and second with SAS disks only.

What do you think about this configuration?
Any other recommendations for the storage combination and configuration?

Yes, they are new. I bought them month ago.

Sorry, I meant a hardware raid.

Just don't do ZFS on top of hardware RAID.
