Hi i have a strange problem.

Is ther a limitation from amount of virtio Disks in the new Updates. In the past my vm has 16 virtio disks.
When i start the vm now, the error no boot device found. I reinstalled grub with an rescue disk. Nothing.
The i removed temporally a disk. Its starts. My workaround: I have one disk attached as an ide. And now my machine is running / booting. But the one disk has low performence.

That my queation. Is there a limitation or what is my error?

root@vsrv:~# pveversion
pve-manager/4.2-17/e1400248 (running kernel: 4.4.15-1-pve)

Thank you!

I don't know the limitation, but add virtio-scsi as disk, has the same performance like virtio-blk. But really... why to you need so a lot of virtual disks in one VM?

15 is such a strange number, no programmer would allow such a strange thing.

Normally, you'll get a warning on the command line if you use more devices then allowed, so please do a qm list and see for yourself.
