Hi Everyone.

I'm running into a bit of a brick wall that i was hoping someone might be able to help with.

Proxmox appears to be installing without a hitch, but when it finishes the web-interface times out. ssh works, as does Apache's "it works" page but there's simply no signs of life on port 8006.

Unfortunately i don't have kvm access, so am unable to install via the iso, however my host (hetzner) does provide a prebuilt recovery image, which i've tried along with installing over Debian minimal, both with the same results.

Has anyone else had similar issues and/or know how to fix it?

hetzner offers ipv6 support and thus your /etc/hosts file will have an entry linking your host name to an ipv6 address. you need to remove this line from /etc/hosts or pretty much all of the proxmox services will fail to start since pmxcfs (providing /etc/pve) will refuse to start as it gets its host name from /etc/hosts and currently WILL fail if theres more than 1 line for the hostname (which you probably have)

Install Webmin its easy to manage your services. And then check Apache config files and or is it running ? And host files. Webmin runs smoothly together with Proxmox. More easy to administrate your linux machine. I also run my servers on Hetzner now. before i did use OVH servers.
