New VM (with new ID) from existing backup snapshot.

Can I create a new VM (with a new ID) from a backup that I made earlier? i.e. I do not want to restore the old VM but want to base a new one on the old snapshot.

Yes. But you need to start the restore from the storages backup content tab to be able to choose a new VMID, not the VMs backup tab.

And can 'restore' the new VM to a different storage medium than the original one. Couldn't find anything. I would have to move the new VM. Right?
