Hello there, after updating kernel of a proxmox backup server i found that the 10 GB/s NICs were unreachable. Those nics are CNA QLE8142 and the driver module il QLGE.
It has been easy to discover that the said module is not included in the latest kernel anymore.
Those nics are also installed on all the 8 nodes of the cluster (three of them are only for ceph). I guess that if i was updating ceph nodes first, probably in this moment i would be in serious trouble. At the moment i solved pinning the old kernel but sooner or later i'll need to go ahead updating.
Do you see an alternative way instead of dismissing all those nics, replacing them with something newer? We own a considerable bunch of them...
