Forgive me if this is an easy question, I am new to proxmox.

I have a server that is completely full running proxmox 1.9. Bought a new server, installed proxmox 2.2. Would like to move the vm's from the old server to the new on. Followed the wiki advice to attempt to restore a v1.9 backup to v2.2 server and get a failure that container does not exist. I attempted to create an empty vm with the # of the vm, and it to fails. The guest OS is windows 2003 server.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

no double posts please!

Sorry about the double post, I didn't realize that there was a delay in posting.

Anyway, the command I used is vzrestore vz-dump-file-name 110 (id of the vm)
I got error message container 110 does not exists

I then tried vzrestore vz-dump-file-name 110 (id of the vm) --storage local
and got the same result.

Thanks in advance!
Mark

From GUI

First error:
extracting archive '/data/dump/vzdump-openvz-103-2013_02_18-14_51_28.tar'
Total bytes read: 85708922880 (80GiB, 20MiB/s)
TASK ERROR: container 102 does not exists

When I try again:
TASK ERROR: unable to create CT 102 - directory '/data/private/102' already exists
