Hello,

Our VM's are stored on a NFS server.

Is it possible to reboot the switch (disconnect cable) without having to shutdown/start all VM's? It will take about 30 seconds max for the switch to reboot.

Anyone tried this?

Since NFS shares are hard mounted they will wait indefinitely. I think you should be able have the switch rebooted before this timeout occurs;)

I just rebooted the switch, it took about 60 seconds, but no harm was done. The load went up on VM's because of IOWait, but no crashes or read-only filesystems. Thanks!
