I'm a newbie to Proxmox and don't really get many advanced topics yet. But what I want to do in Proxmox is the following:
Within Proxmox dashboard I've formatted a storage (2 Sata HDDs, 12TB) into mirror (ZFS). This is intended to be a pure storage Disk and no VMs running on it. It should stand independent from the VMs (no VM system files should be installed on it). All VMs will be installed on separate SSD Disks.
Now I want to be able to share this data storage with several specific Linux-based VMs at max read/write speed possible. In order to keep normal speed, I do not want to compromise with a risk of data-loss by doing things like disabling sync of ZFS.
What would be the best way to accomplish that?
I've read about "usb passthrough", but I'm not sure it's exactly what I want.
