LUN or physical passthrough for NAS?

Hi,
I've installed Proxmox on a DL380 G8 with the raid card (P420i) in HBA mode.
I've installed OMV on it and I need to pass it the drives.
Is it better to do a physical passthrough or a LUN passthrough?
I'd like to be able to disconnect the drives and mount them on another pc and be able to read all the data on them, is this possible with a LUN passthrough?

P.s. in Proxmox CLI is it possible to see the content of the drives passed to the VM?

Should be possible both ways but if you already got a HBA I would use PCI passthrough so you don't get additinal virtualization overhead.
