Hello,
I use PVE 3.4 with 3 nodes :
- 2 for drbd v8.4
- 1 "little hardware" for quorum, HA.

I'd like to go with PVE4. It is possible to have :
- 2 nodes for storage and 1 "little hardware" for HA ?

- PVE4 have DRBD9 isn't it ? but not yet stable. So,
is it possible to use ceph, or another storage like this ?
(i haven't found this information on forum, sorry).

Thank you.

Hello Vkhera, thank you for your anwser.
I had seen glusterfs or ceph, but I was wondering if they could operate with two nodes storage only.

Ceph should also operate with two nodes storage only ?
It's seem ceph has maybie little better performance, like IO for database.

Thank you.

I chose gluster mainly because I don't have any spare drives to dedicate to ceph in my servers, and breaking my existing ZFS pool is just too much work. I run gluster on top of a dedicated ZFS dataset for the bricks. Speed is just mediocre, especially when the VM itself is also running ZFS, but if the VM is running a traditional file system, it is fast enough.

ok, what I found as information, Glusterfs is slower than Ceph on I / O databases, but good speed file access.
use less memory too.
I have found nothing to use glusterfs as shared storage for HA mode.
is it possible ?
