We are checking live update resources ability in order to give our customers that functionality.

We have enabled NUMA on proxmox KMV, and everything seems to be working fine for all operating systems checked ( Centos6, Centos7, Debian 8, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.06 ), except for Debian 7.
What we are experiencing in Debian 7 is that when we enable NUMA for hotplug (CPU,memory), with a 2GB RAM VM we can only see 1 GB of ram using free -m.

Furthermore, if we hotplug more memory like 4GB of RAM, with free -m we can see only 3 GB RAM on the machine.
Can you give us any solution or hints on how to fix this? I can't imagine it is supposed to be working like that since all other operating systems seems to not have a problem.

2GB RAM DEBIAN 7

root@debian:~# free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1001 59 942 0 6 20
-/+ buffers/cache: 32 969
Swap: 465 0 465

8GB RAM DEBIAN 7

root@debian:~# free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 4585 116 4468 0 6 20
-/+ buffers/cache: 89 4496
Swap: 465 0 465

Tests run in 4.3 and 4.4 proxmox clusters with same results.
